Job description

CohnReznick’s Administration department has an exciting opportunity on our Tax Processing Services team. We are looking for a dynamic Permanent Tax Processor to support our Baltimore office.

This is a permanent position, which will start June 1, 2021. Various shifts available from (8:30 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime (weekday evenings and Saturdays).

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Electronically processing various tax returns and forms from tax software to virtual document management system.
  • Printing and assembling completed tax returns and related forms.
  • Packaging and coordinating the delivery of assembled paper tax returns to the client in a timely manner.
  • Electronic delivery of PDF versions of various draft and completed tax returns and related forms to client in a timely manner.
  • Electronic e-Filing of tax returns and extensions to Federal and State jurisdictions.
  • Assisting with the set-up of new clients in the tax software and document management systems.
  • Assisting with tax software and document management maintenance.
  • Performing a self-review for completeness and accuracy of information in the document management system.
  • Communicating with Supervisors and clients on various deadlines and/or challenges with meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure quality control of assigned work.
  • Special projects assigned by Supervisor and/or National Administrative Manager


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work overtime (evenings and Saturdays) as needed with or without advanced notice
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and turn around projects quickly
  • Excellent administrative and computer skills with ability to print, collate and assemble documents, electronically and physically
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe
  • Prior experience with tax returns is a plus
  • Dependable, reliable, and a strong attention to detail with the ability to self-review
  • May require some standing for periods of time
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Can do attitude and an ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
